Our Mission...
When a child becomes seriously ill, an otherwise financially stable family can face serious economic hardship. Often, one or both parents have no choice but to leave work or reduce their hours so they can focus on the child's health. These families find little or no financial relief from other private charities or government agencies.
Fred's Footsteps works with each family for one year. We help families to financially "get back on their feet" by:
- paying for general living expenses (e.g., rent, utilities, food)
- making adjustments to the family's home or car to accommodate the special needs child
- securing medical equipment not covered by insurance
- providing respite care.
