"I suppose one of the greatest measurements of a man's life is how many people he has touched… His influence on us was immeasurable… I will personally miss his strong leadership, his wit and the sense that he gave all of us that no matter what challenges we faced it would be alright."

Golf Information

The Golf Fun Day is played on three, nine-hole courses: the SPRING NINE, the MILL NINE, and the CENTENNIAL NINE. The rotation will permit us to play three separate 18-hole golf courses, each having the same par.  Scorecards can be found on your golf carts with details of your starting course and hole.

The order of the nines will be as follows:

Spring to Mill
Mill to Centennial
Centennial to Spring

Please note that where a foursome starts determines where it will go after playing the ninth hole of the first course.  Do not follow the foursome in front of you; use your scorecard.

The scoring system for the event will be a SHAMBLE – One lowest gross score as a foursome.  It works like this:

  1. Each member of the team drives from every tee.
  2. The drive that establishes the team in the best position for the next shot is chosen as the location from which everyone hits their second shot.
  3. To keep play moving, the other members of the team are to pick up their ball and move it to the position of the best drive (within a club length).
  4. Each team member's drive must be used a minimum of two times.  Use the scorecard to record whose drive has been used for each hole.
  5. From this point on, every team member plays from their own ball until the hole is completed.  (We ask that team members out of the hole pick up their ball to ensure a timely pace).
  6. The lowest gross score of the team is recorded on the scorecard.  (In the case of a threesome, one player is designated per hole to play the extra ball).

The Hole-In-One and "Pot of Gold" Contest holes are:

 No.  7 Spring
No.  8 Centennial
No.  6 Mill

All players must play from the white tees on these holes.  For all other holes, men will play from the white tees and women from the red tees.

Additional contest holes are:

Closest-to-the-Pin Hole:

No. 5 Spring
No. 2 Mill
No. 5 Centennial

Longest Drive Hole:

No. 6 Spring
No. 1 Mill
No. 9 Centennial

Three beverage stations are available, at No. 5 Spring, No. 6 Mill, and No. 4 Centennial.

We ask that you come in as soon as you finish your 18 holes.  Please turn in your COMPLETED scorecard at the Pro Shop, immediately following play.

The reception and silent auction will begin immediately following completion of play, approximately 5:30 PM.

Dinner, featuring awards and a live auction, will start at approximately 6:30 PM.

The most important rule of Fred’s Golf Fund Day is to HAVE FUNGOOD LUCK!
